Description
The Technical Sales Representative in the construction industry is responsible for promoting and selling the company’s products while providing technical advice to clients and distributors. They play a key role in developing client relationships, understanding their technical needs, and offering tailored solutions.
Responsibilities
•Present and sell the company’s products to existing and potential clients.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and distributors.
•Identify sales opportunities and develop strategies to achieve sales targets.
•Provide detailed technical advice on products to clients and distributors.
•Respond to technical questions and resolve product-related issues.
•Conduct product demonstrations and technical training for clients and distributors.
•Research and analyze market trends to identify new sales opportunities.
•Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other events to promote the company’s products.
•Collaborate with the marketing department to develop sales materials and promotional campaigns.
•Prepare and submit offers and business proposals.
•Track client orders from receipt to delivery.
•Maintain regular follow-up with clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat sales.
•Work closely with internal teams, including technical, marketing, and customer service departments.
•Provide feedback on client needs and market trends to improve products and services.
•Participate in sales meetings and internal training sessions.
Requirements
•Previous experience in technical sales, preferably in the construction industry.
•In-depth knowledge of construction products and their technical applications.
•Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
•Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software and office tools (Microsoft Office).
•Availability for frequent travel.
•Strong customer orientation with the ability to understand and meet client needs.
•Initiative and autonomy in work.
•Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
•Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and products.
•Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
