Description

The Technical Director – Modular Construction plays a key role in the management and supervision of modular construction projects. This position involves coordinating all technical aspects of projects, from design to completion, ensuring that quality standards, deadlines and budgets are met. 

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate modular construction projects from design to delivery.
Ensure compliance with deadlines, budgets and quality standards.
Manage resources, including design, production and construction teams.
Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop innovative and efficient modular construction plans.
Supervise the production of technical drawings and manufacturing plans.
Evaluate the technical and logistical needs of projects.
Ensure that the production of modules meets technical specifications and quality standards.
Coordinate with manufacturing workshops to optimize production processes.
Control the quality of materials and construction methods.
Supervise the installation and assembly of modules at construction sites.
Collaborate with site managers and construction teams to ensure flawless execution.
Resolve technical and logistical problems that arise on site.
Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and ensure the quality of materials.
Ensure compliance with local, national and international building regulations.
Ensure projects meet safety and environmental standards.
Research and integrate innovative technologies and advanced construction methods.
Promote sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in modular construction projects.

Requirements

Degree in architecture, construction engineering or engineering with expertise in wood structures, or combination of training with relevant experience.
Significant professional experience in modular construction or a similar field.
Solid experience in team management.
Proven project management skills, including planning, budgeting and progress monitoring.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Have advanced skills in designing plans, specifications and workshop drawings.
Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software and project management tools, such as Revit, Microsoft 365, Autocad 2D & 3D and Strucsoft.
Be autonomous, a good communicator and be recognized as a mobilizing leader.
