Description
As a Heavy Equipment Operator , you play a vital role on construction sites, operating various heavy equipment to complete jobs. Depending on your skills, your tasks may be to drive and operate heavy equipment on a construction site, such as: a bulldozer, a wheel or track loader, a grader, a scraper, a backhoe (backhoe loader), a self-propelled snow blower, a motorized street sweeper, a dumper or others.
Responsibilities
•Drive and operate heavy equipment, such as excavators, loaders, bulldozers, and others.
•Use equipment safely and efficiently according to site requirements.
•Participate in earthmoving, leveling, and excavation work.
•Follow plans and instructions to ensure work accuracy.
•Perform regular checks on equipment to ensure proper operation.
•Report mechanical problems or maintenance needs to the maintenance team.
•Respect safety standards on the construction site.
•Participate in safety meetings and help create a safe work environment.
•Coordinate with other team members on site to ensure effective communication.
•Follow plans and instructions from the foreman or project manager.
Requirements
•Heavy equipment operator certification.
•Previous experience as a heavy equipment operator, asset.
•In-depth knowledge of safety procedures and equipment operating rules.
•Ability to work independently and in a team.
