Description

The Disaster Restoration Technician is responsible for damage control and restoration of premises and property damaged in a disaster. He must be both available and flexible, being able to be called after regular working hours. The Disaster Restoration Technician is the person on the ground, implementing the cleanup and restoration plan developed by the project manager. Regardless of the type of disaster, the Disaster Recovery Technician is at the heart of the cleanup and restoration action.

Responsibilities

Carry out various tasks and emergency work following disasters, such as water damage, flooding, fire cleanup, etc.
Choose the right products and processes to restore premises and property as quickly as possible.
Extract water, treat surfaces, wash floors, install drying equipment.
Ensure the handling, packaging and loading of equipment to be restored or stored.
Perform the stripping of the premises in order to prepare for the renovation.
Operate specialized devices to detect elements invisible to the naked eye.
Ensure that the premises are clean when you leave.
Make openings in the ceilings, walls and floors.
Relocate, clean and disinfect furniture and its contents.
List damaged goods.
Complete work reports.
Take photos.
Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements

Experience an asset
Valid driver’s license
Manual dexterity
Ease in handling tools
Basic knowledge in the construction field (asset)
Great versatility and availability
Customer-oriented attitude
Sense of responsibility
Reliable, team spirit and diligent
IICRC certification (asset)
Knowledge of the insurance field (asset)
