JOB SUMMARY: Anis responsible forassisting the crew with site maintenance and clean-up in addition to operating and maintaining maintenance equipment. This is an entry level position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Compensation: $20.00 – $25.00 an hour, dependent on experience
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Committed to working safely (fit for work), supporting a positive and productive team environment.
- Capable of performing physically demanding manual labour in all weather conditions.
- Loads and unloads trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into a woodchipper.
- Performs site set-up and take down including unloading and loading equipment; setting up barriers/ warning flags; and keeping the site picked up and orderly.
- Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or higher.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record, air brakes endorsement a plus.
- Ability to work as a crew member in a physically demanding environment.
- Motivated to work both independently and as a team member and with good time management.
- Ability to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
- Working around excessive noise from machines, chainsaws, woodchipper and must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work long hours and overtime during emergencies (including holidays, weekends, storm work) and will be subject to call-out work.
- Must have valid First-Aid and CPR certificates.
